On August 25, more than 350 students and graduates of Arkansas State University Querétaro had the opportunity to advance on that path during the fifth edition of the Career Fair at Elisia Education Hub, a day that brought them closer to the professional world.
Building a career doesn’t begin after you receive a degree. It begins when you explore your interests, learn about different industries, make new connections, and discover where you want to take your talents.
EXPLORE TODAY TO MAKE BETTER DECISIONS TOMORROW
Choosing a university degree is only one part of the journey. Throughout professional training, new questions also arise: In which industry do I want to develop my career? What type of company best aligns with my goals? What experience do I need to strengthen my professional profile?
During the Career Fair, students were able to begin finding their own answers by interacting directly with 26 companies, institutions, and civil society organizations.
Throughout the day, they learned about job opportunities, internships, trainee programs, and community service projects. They also had the opportunity to talk with representatives from different sectors, learn about diverse career paths, and expand their professional networks.
The universities that are part of the Elisia Education Hub provide students with an environment in which they can develop the skills necessary to advance toward a competitive, internationally focused career path. Through the American educational model and classes taught 100% in English, they are prepared to thrive in global professional contexts.
Furthermore, upon graduating from Arkansas State University Querétaro, they earn a degree valid in the United States and another accredited by Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), expanding their options to continue their professional development in Mexico and around the world.
OPPORTUNITIES ARE ALSO BUILT
The Career Fair goes beyond finding a job opening. It’s a space to discover career paths that may not yet have been on each student’s radar.
Approaching the work environment from the early years of university allows you to understand what organizations are looking for, identify new areas of interest, and recognize which skills can make a difference when entering the job market.
As part of the inauguration, Alberto Alesi, General Director of ManpowerGroup for Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, shared a reflection with attendees on the importance of starting a professional career at an early stage.
His message reinforced one of the central ideas of the day: you don’t need to wait until you graduate to start moving towards the professional future you want.
A CONNECTION THAT CAN BECOME THE NEXT STEP
A conversation can lead to a new contact. A contact can open the door to a professional internship. And an internship can help you discover the industry in which you want to grow.
Each interaction during the Career Fair represented an opportunity for students and graduates to broaden their perspective, explore new alternatives, and move more clearly toward their own goals.
Through Career Services, Elisia Education Hub continues to facilitate spaces for connection between the university community, companies and organizations, bringing students closer to tools, experiences and contacts that can help them define and develop their own professional path.
Because your career doesn’t begin when you graduate, it begins with the decisions, experiences, and connections you make from now on.
