Discipline, teamwork, and determination led our student-athletes to conquer their first championship in the Liga Interflag Querétaro, demonstrating that every challenge represents an opportunity to go further.
The Red Wolves women’s Flag Football team was crowned champion of the Liga Interflag Querétaro Sunday Tournament, in the IFAF Women’s category, on October 18, 2026, after beating Leonas Querétaro 34-31 in an exciting final.
This achievement has a special meaning: it was the team’s first participation in the tournament, and the student-athletes managed to take the title after seven days of competition.
Seven days of hard work, a championship to remember
The road to the championship demanded much more than talent. For seven days, the players maintained constant preparation to compete every Sunday, even facing dates where they had to play two matches in the same day.

The decisive day put their preparation to the test. First, the team faced a team from Morelia in the semifinals, securing their place in the final. Later, they played a close match against Leonas Querétaro, which was decided in the final moments with a score of 34-31 in favor of Red Wolves.
Under the direction of the coaches Ana Coronel and Gabriel Roque, the student-athletes, demonstrated the importance of perseverance, communication, and collective confidence in achieving a common goal. Beyond the outcome, this championship reflects what happens when a passion for sports is combined with commitment, preparation, and opportunities to compete.
