Students and coach from A-State Querétaro will compete in the ICU Latin American Cheerleading Championship, reinforcing the university’s role as a leader in international athletic opportunities.
Arkansas State University Querétaro, part of a university with over 115 years of academic legacy, has been officially selected to represent México at the ICU Latin American Cheerleading Championship, one of the most prestigious international cheer competitions in Latin America. From May 31 to June 2, the team will travel to Medellín, Colombia, demonstrating once again that at A-State Querétaro, athletic talent opens doors to global experiences and professional growth.
The team will be led by Coach Viridiana Silva Barajas, who has been officially appointed by the Mexican Federation of Cheerleaders and Spirit Groups as head coach of the National Team in the partner poms category, further cementing the prestige and international impact of our cheer program.
Joining her are three outstanding student-athletes from A-State Querétaro, selected to compete as members of the national team:
- Natalia Alesani Mendoza Cervera
- Mariana Frías Fernández
- Karol Fernanda Hernández Salas
One Team, Two Flags, Shared Pride
These athletes will participate in two official competitions during the championship:
