Last Saturday, September 12, student-athletes from different disciplines arrived at Elisia Education Hub with one goal in mind: to discover how far their talent can take them.
The tryouts, held in collaboration with the Arkansas State University Querétaro Red Wolves, let participants experience university sports firsthand, train on campus facilities, meet the coaching staff, and share the court with athletes who are already part of our teams.
But each edition also presents a different challenge: our teams are increasingly solid and competitive, so earning a place in them requires ever greater preparation, discipline, and sporting level.
For those seeking to continue their sports career while pursuing an international degree, the Tryouts are the first step toward an experience where sport can become an important part of their university journey.
Much more than a sports evaluation
During the tryouts, each student-athlete has the opportunity to experience what it would be like to be part of a university team. The sessions allow them to experience real training dynamics, receive an evaluation from the coaching staff, interact with potential teammates, and learn about the athletic expectations of each program.
At the same time, students and families can explore academic possibilities, learn about sports scholarship options, and understand how an international university experience looks like from Querétaro, with programs that grant degrees valid in both Mexico and the United States.
