SIXTY-EIGHT STUDENTS GRANTED DEGREES IN THE SPRING COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY AT ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY QUERÉTARO
Chancellor Todd Shields conferred 68 degrees to students from the university’s four colleges in the ceremony held at Arkansas State University Campus Querétaro.
Diana Naomi Pineda Nuñez, addressed the audience on behalf of the graduating class. “As we embark on this next chapter of our lives, let’s not be afraid to aim high, dream big, take chances, and dance like nobody’s watching…even if they do.” said Ms. Pineda Nuñez.
Ms. Pineda Nuñez graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a double Bachelor of Science Degree, one in Mechanical Systems Engineering and one in International Business. She has been very active during her tenure at A-State Querétaro and participated in social, academic, artistic and sports fields as one of the best sports athletes in our soccer, rugby, and flag football teams. She also participated in the Dance Wolves Club and was nominated for the Ricardo González Award.
We have 68 graduating seniors, which includes eight seniors graduating with a double major, 35 are graduating with one minor and three with a double minor. It also includes 25 distinguished undergraduate students with various academic Latin honors, as identified by the white, red, and gold honors cords. We have 11 Cum Laude, 13 Magna Cum Laude, and one Summa Cum Laude.
The selected winners for the Ricardo González Award, presented annually for outstanding graduating seniors based on character, determination, involvement, and academic achievement were Chloe Sofía Zavala Rymer and José Pablo Torres Campos. Congratulations!
47.5% of our graduate students have secured employment or received job offers, and 30% are in the process of starting a master’s degree, a source of immense pride for our entire community.
